The purpose of the webinar is to describe and analyze Federal Government policy actions which might impact health care policy.  This includes Executive branch action - policy announcements, proposed regulations, guidances, and statements.  It also includes Legislative Branch action - new tax law and appropriations.  There will also be a discussion about the 2018 elections and outlook for the next Congress.

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will be informed about Federal government actions under the new Administration and the Congress concerning policy affecting health care.

Speaker Information

Julius W. Hobson, Jr., Senior Policy Advisor, Polsinelli

Mr. Hobson has more than 47 years' experience in public policy, working both inside and outside of government.  He primarily serves health care clients with particular emphasis on physicians, hospitals, home health, and long-term care providers; he also advises and lobbies on a number of other issues, including appropriations, budget, education, immigration, municipal affairs, tax policy, and congressional oversight and investigations.
