Dare You 2 Move (DY2M)

The National HFMA theme for FY 2019-2020 is Dare You 2?Move (DY2M).  Our new National Chair, Michael Allen, describes his Chair theme, “Dare You 2 Move, challenging healthcare finance leads to move out of their comfort zones so they can grow.”  He continues, the national theme highlights the tension each of us is experiencing in healthcare in assessing where we are versus where we know we need to be.  Michael is CFO at OSF Healthcare in Peoria, Illinois.

As leaders, we are working daily to help our teams and organizations move to population health which includes making healthcare more affordable and simple while maintaining or improving clinical outcomes.  Success in population health comes with health plans, physician groups, post-acute providers, and hospitals working together much more closely than we have historically.  National HFMA is leading the coordination and partnership of this cross-section of stakeholders though education, analysis, tools, and solutions.  Understanding the importance of having representatives from all stakeholders, Arizona HFMA is looking to strengthen our voluntary chapter board and committees by increasing the number of volunteers from finance leaders in health plan, physician group, and post-acute organizations.

I am excited to be your Arizona Chapter President for Fiscal Year 2019-2020!   Thank you to the following leaders who are highly recognized in their own fields and who are volunteering with me:
